greddy bov flutter after 20K?
I installed it with 2,000 miles on the car and it now starts to flutter at 22,000 miles. At first it was once in awhile but now it's all the time from vacuum to 10 psi (didn't push it past 10). It is not installed backwards, for sure, and has the single spring mod done to it. FYI, when I let go of the gas it's abruptly. I already searched and found out majority of the ppl installed it backwards to cause the fluttering. This is not normal because like I said, the bov vented back into the intake perfectly with a single high pitch whoosh. With I switch gears on low boost it will hesistate now. Please help.
clean it. Taking it apart and cleaning it solves 90% of all BOV problems. When was the last time you did it. Remember that just like an air filter you get build up inside which makes it harder for the piston to open and close
diaphragm could be shot. you have to open it up to check though so you might as well clean it while you're at it. the diaphragm is the rubber piece inside and they sometimes tear or get small holes in them, replacements are usually $65-$85.
