Get alky then and crank the boost. Just make sure it's tuned right.

Well, since you are coming from a 700whp cobra, simple bolt ons aren't going to do it. I would just attempt to be content with what you have now and save 20K or so you will need to make it as fast as your cobra was.

What were the mods to your cobra again? Since you like drag racing what were the times?

Vishnu is a great bay area tuner.

Check out Warrtalons setup, that is the path you want to take.

 

if u want the truth, I never could laucnch the cobra worth crap.... it scared me... even on slicks.... thing would go sidewayz so easily.... took it to the track very little after I uograded from the kenne bell 2.4 l... I was running high t mid tens on that with all the bolts ons and a tiny rr pulley .... problemm was shredded belts... now Ijust want to run mid to low 11's thats all... get traction and run 11's in my eveo.... i would love a new turbo but cant afford to install it... I am new guys... show me the road.... this is a used evo so none of the mods were my choice... tell me what to do to break into mid 11's that I can install nyself or buy cheap

get ahold of APS and find out if your Unichip is flashed for the cams already. you may be running untuned on cams. not good. you may be able to find someone on here to buy your cams and get a set of 269s from WORKS, 272 from HKS, or 280s from HKS. you can also check out GSC cams as well as Crower cams. good results from all the cams listed above. if you get an alky kit, you will have to be tuned for it IF you want it to spray all the time. you can also look into getting a evo9 turbo, or if you like the quick spool, get a Forced Performance White Rabbit turbo with the Titanium Aluminide insides-basically a TME 6.5 turbo with the FP WR compressor wheel. you can do the install yourself. its reeeeaaally easy. since you already have the parts on the car, work with them. you may be suprised that you may be already able to hit your goal of mid to low 11s. good luck.
