Question Anyone use Total Seal Rings ?

Yes, how many High HP Evo's use these rings ?

I know Total Seal actually buy the standard Wiseco rings, modify them for 'no ring gap' and then re-sell them.......so in fairness would a Piston with carefully selected JE Pro-seal rings be just as fine @ 650+Hp ?

Thanks in advance !!

TS rings on a boosted car is not good. A little blow by is ok but not alot. No blow by is ok on a NA car but not a boosted car. Even on a NA car sometimes they do good sometimes people have problems with them

I used them in a fully build 2.3l ford SVO motor and a fully built 2.3L ford in a Merkur, and a 9 second Mopar 340, all ran great and I never had any problems with any of them. As far as Evos go I have no idea

Funny, I was just going to say that I knew some in the Turbo Ford crowd who used them and did not have good results, LOL!

I believe in order for these rings to work properly, one may need to pay very close attention to bore finish specifics and the recommended assembly techniques. I was once curious to try them myself, but I'm not so sure now.

Bore finsh and end gap is very critical on the gapless ring. The SVO ran great and I beat the crap out of that car! I had a big valve head on both of them with custom ground Lunati cam.

Tedb, liked the vid on absinthe

good rings, but very picky about clearances, personally id stay away from them on a high heat boosted motor, too much expansion

but ive had/seen great results on many Domestic V8's
