what do you need to run a IX turbo on a VIII? Support mods? Lines? Etc?

you don't need anything new. I made mine work with very little modification
The stock water and oil lines need a bit of a bend in them which you can do with your hands. The only part that is tricky is the turbo outlet pipe, which comes very close to the starter wire.
