I've got the Helix HFC. The fumes are no worse than with the factory cat but, I feel it is definitely becoming a restriction in the exhaust with my current mods. After installing cams and getting it custom tuned you can see the power take a nose dive after 6400 RPM when it should be making power all the way to 7000RPM. Boost also takes a dive right around the same RPM. So, it must go.

I have a Random Tech HFC. No fumes to speak of. I got that one because it supposedy has the best flowing core. Most of the HFCs that I have been around are pretty good as far as the smell goes.

i have the buschur/catco hi flow cat. no in-car fumes. i've had friends behind me tell me that all they can smell is fuel when i get on it. they say its better now that the car is tuned. before it could make eyes water. lol. and i have no issues with any power loss after 6500k.
