Question What do you guys think of...

What do you guys think of the Blitz SBC-ID Boost Contoroller?? I am looking for a good boost controller, and this seems to be the way to go? Thanks

The Blitz is not that good - very wavey and uneven boost - makes a choppy dyno sheet

I LOVE the new HKS EVC V - its amazing!

If I remember correctly, reviews showed that the Blitz Boost controller made more power on the same car at the same boost.
Due to a more exact boost reading and/or more exact pressure release time.

I scraped a page from the SPL Parts Inc. website. It's got a comparo table and a decent write up of what an electronic boost controller is.

I've heard that both the new HKS V and the Blitz both suck big time... The Blitz cause like it was said before, the boost is choppy.. The HKS simply because it takes a genius to program it correctly.. Way too much trouble for what it's worth...

The HKS couln't be simpler - all you do is turn a knob and set the boost level you want - on my Kpa version its an arbitray number from 1 - 100 - - on the PSi version you get a offset feature so you can just dial in the boost point you want - - no gain no volume no nothing - what could be easier ?

The only thing I miss about the Blitz was the speed chagning function in conjunction with the ID unit you could make up a boost curve

other than that the HKS is just superior to the blitz - the new HKS stepping motor is unbelievable - state of the art

Maybe I have it confused with another one? Is it the EVC EZ? I have the EVC IV in my WRX and it works awesome!! Just takes a minute to program and you're off... I might just get another one for my EVO... It's a bad *** unit.. EVC IV....

Thanks guys, After looking into the HKS EVC-V, I think I would rather go that route for Boost Control

The Blitz is pretty consistent. Much faster response since it uses dual selenoids. The HKS unit is good but the stepping motor is slower. I've never gotten anything but perfectly flat boost response from the SBC-id even at very high boost pressures.
