100 octane IX boost setting
100 octane IX boost setting
What is a good setting for 100 octane racing fuel for my IX:
3" Works TBE
HPF Full Intake
Hallman MBC
Custom Dynoflash
I got my MBC set to 22psi on 93
and I normally set my boost to 26 on 100 octane.
is 26 too low?

well since it only tuned for 93 I think 26 is ok on 100, I don't run it on 100 that often anyway because its like $5.00 a gallon. I keep it at 22 on 93. The only thing is I don't have ARP head studs?
Doesn't matter what you're tuned for, you can do whatever boost you want on 100oct. If you go over 26psi, it will make more torque, but it won't make much difference in peak WHP, since the turbo can't sustain those high boost levels for long.

100oct just keeps the cyclinder cooler - that's all.
If you were tuning for 100oct, and you ran 93 at 22psi - that's when you could have problems. B/c of aggressive timing, fuel mix, etc.
