Raising Boost... Ignition Help!!

I currently have an 03 evo with every basic mod (cams, tbe, intake, wr turbo, ported mani, o2 housing, piping, intercooler, 680ccs, arp bolts) Im getting tuned in 2 weeks with 110 octane and plan to raise the boost to 26/27. How important would it be to get an ignition amplifier? Would it help my hp numbers? What other little things can i do to get more power before my tune besides a pulley, intake manifold, internals? Thanks

Most are seeing some small tq increase with the HKS DL2 or other comparible brands. I can definately tell a difference when I've taken it off.

Scratch the pulley, intake mani, internals. Get cams and or alky injection. Either will provide a nice increase in both tq and hp. I would go for cams first even tho installation is more involved/expensive.

he has cams already, but alky is nice, then you don't need race gas to run 26 psi.

Crap cams was first on the list lol. Hmmmm

I run 26psi on alky and it's great. Unless you have race gas right next door to you for a good price definately check it out.

<thinking of more idea's>

^ but race gas can never have a faulty pump failures/lack of pressure/blown seals/lack of fuel/ (unless your fuel system dies in which case it was going to happen if you were running race gas or not)

moral of the story- alky is fun but racegas allows you to sleep at night.

Thats exactly why i went with Race Gas (And because its right around the corner for almost the same price as 93). I have a meth kit but race gas is alot more safer and less noticable The ignition system cost like $500 tho so should i just pocket the money or whatelse can i use it on for power?

Try running w/out the DLI-2. If you end up having issues due to the spark getting blown out by the high boost, then add the DLI-2.

it's not needed but to get the most out of your setup it should be considered. the stock ignition is probably up to the task of providing the spark. but once you add the ignition amplifier you will notice in your tune that more fuel is being burned and everything is running more efficiently.
