Question on afr/rpm
Question on afr/rpm
Maybe a stupid question....
but has the afr to be ALWAYS between 11.0 to 11.5:1 when WOT ?
Or are there exceptions ?
For example, I noticed that when I am at 2000 rpm and I push WOT, slowly the boost builds up, and I get an ideal ( for turbo ) afr, around 11.3:1, only at 3800/3900 rpm when I get full boost 23 psi.
But when I am at lower rpm AND necessarily at lower boost, I have leaner mixture.
Wouldn't be better to have ALWAYS a rich afr when WOT, independently by the boost pressure or rpm ?
TIA.
