Very small dent on honey comb on maf...

This happened about a week back. I somehow managed to dent about 3-4mm of the honey comb maf. I wanted to know if this is something I should worry about or not. The metal is kinda twisted in a way that can not be straightned and it's very thin as you all know.

The car feels perfectly fine but I just thought I'd ask. Not going to effect performance of the car right?

MAFs are so sensitve that I would think about replacing it. Plus you wont have to worry about any pieces of the dented metal breaking off and going through you turbo/engine. I'm sure you can be just the honeycomb from the dealer.

Just get a pair of tweezers and carefully straighten the bent fins

Yeah I would be cautious about the bent pieces. I wouldn't be too worried about it going into the turbo BUT depending on your power level you may have weakened it enough to make the whole piece break off.

So do they sell the honey comb itself at the dealership? Or do I have to purchase another maf from the dealer if it's bad? Also, how much am I looking at? I'm paraniod and don't want anything to go wrong.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just straighten it out with tweezers or a pin as best you can and call it a day.
Or you could always try to find someone with a wrecked car and get theirs if it bothers you...

I'm looking at the mitsubishi CAPS software right now and dont see just the honeycomb for sale. You have to buy the whole thing for 351.98.
