Oil Return Line leak

The oil return line has begun to leak a small amount and Im wondering what the best way to fix this is? I tightened up the connection and the leak is less than it was previously but not gone. Also, with such a small leak Id think it would be ok at the drag strip, especially since there is no pressure in the return line, but Maybe not???

Anyone else with a 35R etc... turbokit experience this issue?

use silicone gasket maker on top of new factory gaskets...remember dont use it on both sides just the side not touching the oil pan.

some of them leak through the bolt holes, these holes go directly into the pan, which kind of sucks unfortunately..... a tiny bit of white permatex on each bolt helps, but not too much that it goes into the pan....

drain the oil, use some brake clean on the bolts when u remove them etc...

Tom, I have some gasket stuff that'll work. If you want a bit of it, you just gotta stop over.

Maybe I will stop over tomorrow night to get some of that gasket stuff. The car is at a friends shop on the lift right now so Im going to go take a look at it tomorrow and see exactly whats going on. After talking to him again, it seems like the leak is where the ss hose slides over the piece coming off the oil pan?? Ill have more info tomorrow, I havent personally seen where its leaking from yet.

After looking at the car, the leak seems to be where the stainless hose comes together with the metal tube coming off the oil pan, not on the metal tube as it attatches to the oil pan. Thing is, where that hose comes together with the metal tube it appears there is very little hose actually over the tube and it bends right at that point so I can understand why it would leak. I just dont know how to make it stop.

I have come up with a solution that I like so I thought Id share incase anyone else has a similar issue. I went to a local performance shop and picked up a new stainless braided hose and had them put some connections on there that will fit the male screw threads on the turbo side and the female section coming off the oil pan. The old way was a hose with some clamps and turns out the hose was cut up inside from being clamped so tight on the threads at the top and since the hose doesnt bend well, its thick, the bottom portion where it had to bend to fit right...well...didnt fit right, you could see a space between the hose and metal connection coming off the oil pan. So...there is a better way than some hose clamps..get a hose with some fittings on it. Ill post up some pics when its done and how it works out.
