Buschur Injector reliability

I am looking at replacing my stock injectors and part of the deal will give up my stock injectors. I want to make sure that the Busxhur injectors will be as reliable as stock. I usually don't part with my stock parts but this offer is pretty good.

The buschur injectors are made by a company called Precision Turbo & Engine. That is what I run in my evo and have never had any problems. Check them out http://www.precisionturbo.net/

I sold my stock injectors for 125.00. there is a market for them for sure. especially from the DSM crowd. I know someone who will buy them for that.

10kmi on my Buschur injectors without a hitch.

Go for it as long as you have a way to re-tune (flash, s-afc, etc.)

I picked mine up straight from Precison last July and haven't had problem one since. They supply injectors to many, many shops out there. I recommend using one of the blue o-rings found in GM part# 1711-3544 fuel injector seal kit as the oem rubber seals crack and leak eventually. You can't go wrong with a little Precisioin

We havent had any problems with our injectors and we do sell alot of them. If you are still on the stock turbo I would recommend sticking with your stock injectors until you upgrade the turbo. The stock injectors will handle the stock turbo power output even through all the bolt-ons you do. We only switched the stock injectors in the past when we were using the SAFC II for tuning because it was a way to eliminate the fuel cut issue. If you are tuning with a flash you will be fine as the fuel cut will be removed once flashed.

P.S.- If you do off the stock injectors a DSM guy will pick these up without a problem.

I am tuning with a ECU+ piggyback. My IDC is showing somewhere between 80-90+% just depends on the day I pull the logs. I want to build some safety into my tuning and I would rather see lower IDC's.

Also is a fuel rail upgrade really needed? It would be nice to know.
Thanks!

Jrod speaks the truth. The stockers are pretty darn capable but when you need some more juice you won't go wrong with the stuff Buschur's packin'.

You may look to upgrade to a 680 then. I'm not sure if you drive your car in the winter or colder months since you are in Michigan but with the cooler temps they will probably come close to their full potential when driving it hard on cold(er) days.

What all do you have done?

A stock rail will handle a good amount of horsepower just fine. My car made 462whp on our Mustang dyno with the stock rail and 780cc injectors. Thats around 550-560 on a dynojet (for those wondering). If you want to add a little color under the hood or you have a $150-$200 burning a hole in your pocket it wont hurt anything.

Actually, that isn't entirely true. Retail injector suppliers don't actually make injectors. They basically select them for consistency and match them.

The Precision injectors are probably Delphi, which are ball types, and are better suited for high-duty usage than the factory injectors.

Just FYI

Hey there is a huge Delphi plant about 10 miles from my house in Saginaw Michigan...I wonder if that failing auto plant makes these...hehehe.

I think you told me what I need to know. The 680's ought to keep me safe, but I don't think I need bigger than that. Will the 680's be enough for a 20G or a larger stock style turbo? If I can I only want to buy one set for at least a couple of years...

I was pushing 93% IDC on just a turboback exhaust and intake with the aem. The stock injectors were not enough for the AEM to be safe. My blown motor is testament to that. So....on my new setup I am going with the Buschur 780cc.
