Is a reflash needed for a bigger...

FMIC. I have all my mods ready for install on my car. The only thing I do not have that I want is the BR Racing FMIC.
You maybe asking why would I want this intercooler, well for alky real soon, and higher boost. They say it is good for up to 15 whp, plus I would have it for the future 37R.
I know the intercooler takes up more incoming air from the turbo, I wasn't sure if it would mess up the MAF readings or something else I know an intake will, so will an intercooler of this size?
Just curious as to what everyone else thought about this. I found 1 thread but it was dated back to 03, and I know the tuning knowledge has improved greatly on the Evo's sence then.
Here is the thread I found...https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...sh+needed+FMIC.

no, you'll be fine, no FMIC is going to mess things up

tune would be good

You don't HAVE to, but to get the best power results I would, 15whp is the gain on the br? I just bought the ams fmic and they say with the fmic + licp you can get upwards of 25-30 whp gain with a tune. 1 psi loss at most with 80% more airflow than the stock intercooler. FMIC is one of the greatest upgrades you could do so choose the best one with the most power gain.

Thanks for the feedback. I am thinking it will be ok.
I didn't know that AMS claimed 30 whp with there racing FMIC, it is smaller than Buschurs . Sorry but when it comes to the 4g63, Buschur is who I will always go with.

Yeah I am really happy with my stock time, it took 30+ passes, but I got almost into the 12's. I know there are a few people that have done it.

Anyone else have any input on this?
