GSC 264 cams questions...

Can I install the GSC 264's without a tune and get good results? I am going to get a tune in the near future but I am curious as to if I could install them now and enjoy them for a while up until that point.

Do I need larger injectors with these cams or will just a walbro fuel pump suffice? Would the larger injectors help?

Do I need cam gears with these? Would they be beneficial?

I have plans for a larger turbo, high lift 272's, upgraded valve train, pistons and rods, etc in the not so near future. I will need injectors and gears for that but I would rather buy that stuff when I settle on a set up and I know what sizes and brands to get.

Thank you in advance!

I'm sure someone will yell at you for not searching...
Anyway, in order: Not really, no I have 272s and stock injectors you'll be fine, no cam gears. I'd spring for 272s but that's just me. Same price and still streetable, not lopey, no stalling, blah blah blah...

If someone chooses to have a hissy over searching then they can. I did search and I didn't come up with the exact questions I am asking for 264s.

I was going with 272s and I ended up finding almost new 264s for $250 shipped. That isn't the main reason I did it though. I mainly want to prove that 264s can be just as good or better if set up properly as compared to 272s on the stock turbo. My goal is 370-400 awhp on 264s and the stock turbo (plus a 10.5 upgrade) on 93 octane pump gas with a better power curve than HKS 272s.

Plus, I do not want to buy regular 272s (like HKS that do not require a valvetrain upgrade) only to sell them and buy Revolver or Jun 272s later. I want to use the 264s for a while so that I will be amazed when I upgrade to my new set up later down the road.

:-)

BTW, thanks for your input...

I guess I will ask the people whom are going to tune my car if I need all of the stuff listed above. I still wanted other opinions just to be safe...
