Can I remove my valve cover without having to buy any seals or anything. I want to take a look at the cams and want to remove to see. Would I have to add any RTV or anything. Thanks and please don't bash me I just want to know before I pull off. I don't want any oil leaks.

 

Yea, just put the cover somewhere safe and make sure nothing gets on it or in it. And dont damage the gasket either. You're going to have to remove the plug wires too so put those somwhere safe also. Remember where the sensors and everything go inside the valve cover too. Pretty easy though.

 

buy soem break clean & hi temp rtv.

just put rtv on the corner/90* bends of the v/c gasket & where the gasket goes over the 1/2 moon pice on the other side of the intake cam.

Basically apply rtv where the factory did. You'll be able to see that once you get it apart.
