These cams Idle'd as good if not better than the hks cams. The valve train noise at idle was much quiter than the hks cams... not sure if its the material or the way they are made. IMHO the HKS cams do not do anything better than the GSC's.

As far as comparing these to the revolvers... I can't say anything about the power since I haven't done a back to back test.. but they do idle and drive much better than the revolvers.

Cliff notes: The GSC cams made more power and had the same if not better driveability.

I really trust GSC. Tuning Technologies always reports good results and high quality from GSC products. I'd love to try these cams out. I'd be willing to do a test to see if they really make the results advertised. We (Tuning Technologies and I) could also report on the idle quality with the stock ecu/EcuFlash.

My only concern is that they can be used with the stock springs up to 8k. They can't be all that argessive with the acceleration rates if the stock valvetrain can handle it.

Great test. cant wait to see the results on stock turbo. I gotta get some 280s in my stroker/20g. The 264s just make too much torque!!

yes same lift and durration on the 9 cams as these.

Smogrunner thanks for the offer. but the reason i sent the cams to doug at topspeed is the same thing you want us to do for you. we have no affiliation with them. the test that doug did was totally unbiast. our customers will surly back them as soon as they are released. as far as the stock ecu goes they will work fine, lumpy idle but will work with it.

As far as the stock turbo guys these cams have a range from 5000-9k+ RPMS my feeling is, as the cams really start to work you will be out of the stock turbo efficiency range. however, they will make more power than other 280's out there. we have fixed a flaw in others designs which allow for more aggressive tuning safly on these.

running these 280 cams or any of our cams to 8k rpms is fine. i would suggest changing them if you are planning on running the motor there offten. once or twice going threw the traps is one thing but 30 minutes on a road course is another. its a $300 investment into not floating a valve and causing many thounds in repairs.
