clutch opinions

Its that time of the year, no not any kind of holiday, but my clutch is going out. I've pretty much narrowed it down to either a exedy single plate organic or an A.C.T Street disc clutch kit. I just wanted to get some evo drivers opinions on what they think is nicer. Also, besides transmission fluid are there any other things i might need to replace it that you wouldnt normally think of? Me and some guys are doing the clutch, it beats paying 500 bucks just for labor. Thanks for the help

Sorry...I can't give you any opinions on the clutch but onto the install. Just plan of a long day and at times you'll wish you would of just paid the 500. It's good you'll have extra help though. It's not hard, just vary time consuming if things don't go right. Good luck though.

I just finished mine; ACT's MB7-XTSS. I wanted a little more clamping force, just in case. The petal pressure is noticable, but swap in a SS clutch line and remove the restrictor and it's very drivable. I have no regrets driving it to work everyday and I'm two weeks into the break in.

I had an issue with the lower inspection cover rubbing the flywheel, but that's it. The job is doable and it's an *** kicker the first time. Get the tranny out and in is definately a two man job. Give me a week or two and I'll have a write up together and new pics.
