turbo upgrade for the IX. a few ??

i did a search but didnt find what i was exactly looking for ...and also to much contradicting awnseres so here goes.

im looking for a turbo upgrade for my evo 9 , id like to do a GT30r since its m every day car . what kti would u guys go with ? and who has the best pricing?

mods so far , are full 3 in turbo back ( no catt) ,o2 sensor ,header, lower and upper ic pipes, mbc , custom tune,

so besides what the kit comes with basicly i would need injectors , a ic upgrade , a new tune of course , and alc. injectinon ., and head studs just in case . is that correct ??

the local tuner here is telling me it would be atleast 7 k to do everything is that about right ?

any info is appreciated ,thanks..

You should look at the 3065 turbo from Buschur. It is making tons of power on many cars.

The supporting mods you listed above sound good, but also think about adding some cams to really take advantage of the bigger turbo. Cosworth, Turbotrix and GSC have developed cams for the IX.

There aren't a ton of hard IX cam numbers out there yet, but it's always something good to consider when you're already spending all that cash for a turbo kit.

I agree with trying out the BR 3065. Read the recent threads from David Buschur (username: davidbuschur) to see how incredibly fast that thing is and how well it performs on a street car.

Btw, let me know when you're ready to sell your stock turbo.

The 3065 kit is sold as a full kit, includes exhaust manifold, wastegate and O2 housing.

Jarrod at Buschur made about 450whp (Dynojet) with 94 Octane/cams on an VIII. A IX with cams would easily make the same numbers on pump gas. You'd have 500++whp easily on race gas.

Here are pics of my 3065 kit as it arrived from Buschur. I'm not installing until next year, since the car is getting ready to be garaged for the winter. That will give everyone time to "real world" test all the cams that are being developed for the IX, so I can buy the ones with the best results.

Wow that is a crazy looking turbo. How in the world does it flow so much, to get that much power, with such a small exhaust housing. It looks smaller then a super 60 exhaust housing!

I'm using the Buschur Deluxe I/C. The kit comes with an elbow and silicone hose to connect from the turbo to intercooler. I'm sure you could use any aftermarket I/C, but you'd have to have some form of LICP fabricated. If you have a Buschur IC, the connection is very easy.

As for the downpipe, you can see the connection for the DP in the picture above, I'm not sure how other companies' downpipes connect, but this is a perfect flange for the Buschur DP.

Luckily, I commited early to Buschur parts, so I'm not having any fittment issues now.
