Built 2.0 or stroker? Opinions/facts wanted

I've currently got my head off my car, sitting in a machine shop(as they often do), getting port work(flow benched), with 1mm over valves and dual valvesprings. I'm working two jobs and have managed to make more money than I've spent, and actually have enough left over to do some internal work.

I know all the fast guys are running built 2.0s, but most of the street guys run strokers. Sadly, I mainly drag race, so the peaky engine isn't a big issue for me. Building the 2.0 also looks like it's cheaper than the stroker. Making big numbers on a 2.0 doesn't seem to be a big issue. What do you guys think? Along with your own opinions if you could maybe support it with a few facts, I would be much obligied.

Fact's-

2.0's almost always make more peak hp.

2.3's always make more peak tq and earlier peak tq and hp, unless it cannot spool up the turbo due to its rev limit- Think GT6042342R

Going from 2.0 to 2.25 (2.3 round off) only net me 200 rpm improvement in spool w/ the AMS 3076r.
The 10 % or so tq improvement is quite noticeable however in the low rpm in daily driving.

Thanks for the help guys.

You guys have any suggestions on what parts I would need for the 2.0? I'm looking for something around 750-800hp when this is all over and done with. Obviously not with the 35R. But I'd like to only do this once. You think I need to go all out with the pauter rods and what not?

Yea the problem with that is, 2.0 and 2.3 are too short to search for.

Yea I thought abt the same thing...even though I cant afford either...Dreams are cool too..I'd go with the 2.0....you can spin it to like 9.5k rpm's safely with a good tune! and with all the porting and other stuff...(thinking that you'll go with a 37R or a 40R) The turbo should spool at around 5.2-5.5k right? correct me if I'm wrong! I'd do that if I was only going to drag my car and not auto x or road race it!
