evo ix benefits?

trying to make as much power as possible with the stock ix turbo (trying to keep stock clutch for at least 20-30k)....
so far mods are
TBE (catless)
uicp
licp
bov
intake
mbc
fuel pump (walbro)

i know that o2 housing and upgrading the manifold will help, but how much more does it help in power? are the gains significant? Any ix owners noticed big gains after the 2 mods? any other suggestions on buying anything else before my tune?

Trying to get as much power as possible from the IX turbo, and also trying, at the same time, to get 30,000 miles out of the stock clutch is a bipolarity.

Well the UICP was a waste of money. Ya, start saving for a clutch at some point.

Heard of meth inject.?
Maybe a FMIC upgrade?

Ported and coated 02 and exhaust mani are going to be your best bet - search for what people have made with those, should not be much different from VIII to IX.

You don't need a bov either.

Its not, but you are talking 360+ whp on a DJ. At some point OEM specs will fail.

When you list a BOV and an intake as mods, are you refering to specific aftermarket upgrade items? Which ones....exactly?

You might benefit from porting your hotside in addition to the stock exhaust manifold when doing the Ebay O2 housing. If you´re gonna do an Alky kit, now would be the time as well.

what bov do you have? If you say HKS, ditch that now, put you IX back on.

I think you need to do more reading:

And more research:

You wont need injectors. FMIC will be small gains. Ported coated exhaust mani and 02 housing are about your only options til you can get a hold of some cams. They really dont make that much power though, you'll see maybe 10-15 for those two combined. Maybe a touch more.

If you want the most power with the least mods, get...

TBE
Walbro
Meth injection kit
Zeitronix ZT2 w/ alarm, too cut boost
Boost gauge
Mod boost lines to get boost high enough for meth injection
Custom flash

Thats all you'll need. and if you never launch the car, you might be able to keep the stock clutch for 20-30K. One botched launch with that power though, and bye bye clutch.
