Where to buy just a TME compressor wheel?
I have an '05 Evo and I am interested in adding a TME compressor wheel. I am more interested in quicker spooling than top end gains so I think that this would be a good fit for me. The problem is, I only see whole turbos for sale, but since I already have the 10.5 hotside from the factory I don't really need a new turbo. I see 20Gs with TME internals so I would assume that I can get just the Ti/Al wheel and shaft from somewhere. Any ideas on where?
I searched and did not see what I was looking for, but if this has been covered before please feel free to flame me, just include a link that points me in the right direction please.

The TME RS/Evo6 RS turbo uses the same 16G compressor wheels as the other evo turbos.
The Ti wheel/shaft is in the exhaust part, this is what you want.
Edit: Unless you actually want the 15GK compressor wheel that came on the TME GSR turbo, then yeah thats different.

The TME has the same compressor side as your own standard production USDM Evo VIII turbo. The previous poster is correct in stating that the difference is in the turbine wheel although I am not sure that the shaft is titanium as well. I was under the impression that the shaft is steel.
TME's aren't really that expensive new, as they have come down in price over the last 18 months. I think you won't find a shop that'll electron beam weld the TiAl wheel onto your existing shaft and then VSR balance it for a decent price.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think your best bet might be to call Forced Performance and ask them to sell you a TME turbo without a turbine housing, since you already own a 10.5 HS. Goodluck!
