Preference here goes to the Invidia housing as I got it used for the same price as the Ebay housing. The Invidia is actually 2.9" ID. There has only ever been one verified test by Buschur of the Invidia, WORKS, Ebay, and stock. This test was found that the Ebay housing made the best power. Although the other housings still made good power it is up to you what you want hanging off from your turbo.

If you make your own more power to you!

Not to cast doubt, however, I find it kinda questionable as a practical matter, beyond the accepted, Bigger-is-Better Doctrine, that going from a quality 3šinch diameter TBE on a stock turboed, lightly modded Evo IX, to a larger diameter 3.5 or even 4 inch TBE is going to result in any significant measurable dyno or spoolup gains that would justify the additional expense of the larger system and all of these custom machined billet transition adapters and such, given of course a stock turbo, standard flash, and 91 octane.

I think maybe youŽd be lucky to see 3 horsepower on an honest dyno and IŽm willing to bet that you could get a more significant improvement in spoolup by tinkering with cam timing than you ever could by going from a 3.5 to a 4 inch exhaust on your basic lightly modded, stock turboed Evo. Just my $.02. Spend your money on some good cams and a flash.

thanks sparky for your input. i want my 3.5" exhaust. and HPF Eric made a good example of why. yes ill be on stock turbo, but will this exhaust help when i get my gt35 or gt40? whats your input on that? im guessing it will. let me know what you think. i dont see the point in spending money twice on the same part, and having a 3.5" is different. thanks again
