i just got off the phone with vishnu and they told me a reflash with no MBC or exhaust on bone stock evo 9 woud dyno 70hp over stock to the wheels but they are charging $750

 

^oh hellz nah! ^ a C6 limo? Okay, back on topic...... I'd go for the package in Warrtalon's sig. If you were actually considering an $800 package for just an MBC and tune, you should definitely throw in a few more hundred and get something real nice that you won't regret! Plus, the Buschur exhaust kinda sorta "looks" stock and isn't that much louder IMO. There are plenty of write ups on how easy it is to install the listed parts ( simple search in the "How To" forum ) that will help you get some sort of hands on experience with such an amazing driving machine (for the price) that is the EVO! Do the work yourself and I'm sure you will find a deep appreciation for the EVO and all your hard work (work, school.... English class maybe next semester?) that goes with owning the car.

 

And spend some time in the Engine Management/Tuning forum. Look specifically in "ECUFlash". You'll find out how you could get a nifty little cable for $90 that allows you to receive flashes through the email for approximately $50 from very reputable tuners. How you can also get a nifty little program that will log some data from your ECU for about $25. How you can use the combination of parts to allow a tuner to remotely tune your vehicle safely without ever physically meeting them.

 

It probably does. My 65whp gain was with exhaust already on the car. I wish I had a stock # to compare from. It could have been a 80-90whp gain for me, who knows! My IX has been running strong for the last year!

Get a Warrtalon S1 or BR s1 and stop modding until you complete your school(Very hard to do).

 

No, they just know what theyre doing. I think its funny how there are so many EVO owners that have the ability to spend $30k+ on an Evo but then ***** about $750 because a) they dont have any money b) they probably still live at home c) or in an aparment d) live paycheck to paycheck e) try to find the cheapest thing possible for the vehicle.

To me those people shouldnt own an Evo in the first place.
