I just get one with my filter from the dealer. Just ask for it when you get the filter.

when i bought a couple filters from the dealer here, they first told me i didnt have to change it everytime, then second came back with a handful of washers, told me that he had no idea which one was the right size, but let me have them all free with the purchase of the oem filter.

Mine didn't either, but I've been using them when I change it myself. =)

Can't hurt, and they were free. *shrug*

Always change the washer and the reason is to avoid stressing the threads.Less tourque required to tighten the plug and maybe you should be having a talk with your parts supplier. The original washers are very cheap.

When you hit your drain plug with your torque wrench how does the torque wrench know that their is a crush washer in their? Does the crush washer have a little chat with the torque wrench and tell it to click sooner so as to provide less thread loading? What am I not getting here?
