Need help finding vaccum leak.

I cannot find this leak anywhere. I have done a boost leak test and cannot hear anything. My gauge does not move at all when I do the test. I do hear a very loud whine when I get on boost. This all happened after I got my clutch replaced. I can barely see behind the intake manifold but I did see a vaccum line attached to a regulator back their that had another line attached to it but not connected to anything. Where does it go? I do not know what that regulator is called but it is below the throttle boddy but a little further back.

it must beone of the lines behind the throttle body there are a few of them, but since you said it was after a clutch install i dunno if that could be it, how loud is this whine?

go under the car check the pipe that comes of the turbo to the intercooler black in color most likely who ever was doing your install bumped it and its loose or the bolt is broken you might need a new gasket, its not a leak if its super loud like that

a friend of mine had that happen to him and his car sounded like it had a supercharger

let me know if that helps

if by my gauge does not move at all you mean the system is not pressurizing that is most likely your problem

The pipe you speak of is in front of the car. I am talking about below the intake manifold. I have an RMR hard pipe kit and know that the lower intercooler pipe section is secure.

well then most likely its one of the lines behind the throttle body if you cant get to them use a mirror and take off the strut bar stick a mirror behind the throttle body to check if any of them got pulled of, most likely by the shift cables

You need to build a boost leak tester, you'll be able to find any leaks in a very short period of time.

the valve you are talking about is the egr valve. You can take most of the vacuum lines of the car and cap them.

Why would you do that? The vacum line that is off is a common problem it happens all the time. Most Evo owners that I know have had it pop off at least once. It takes a little feeling around behind and slightly under the throttle body but you will eventually feel the stem that it attaches to. I have never been able to actually "see" it but I have felt for it and found it several times.
