cutting out

OK when I am in like fourth gear and I put it to the floor it will hit full boost and sometimes it will cut out. What causes this? I have a mbc set to peek at 23 psi and taper down.

What rpm's? Could possibly the ECU pulling timing.

What mods ?
Are you tuned?

It felt like fuel cut. What causes it to cut fuel? Does it just not get enough under boost?

the ecu cuts your fuel. Iam pretty new to this but talked to Jarrod at Buschur and he told me. I have the same problem.

Actually, this is pretty serious. 23psi w/out a tune !! The "cutting out" you felt is the ecu trying to save your motor.
Fuel cut is like hitting a brick wall. Is this what your feeling or just mini sputtering ?
If it's sputtering, most likely the ecu is pulling timing and ramping it back up or misfiring due too high boost with worn out plugs.

Turn the boost back down 19 psi untill you get tuned.

Yeah, that's pretty dumb to run around at high boost on 91oct and TBE with no tune. Stop treating your Evo like crap, please. Get in touch with Justin from Wyoming to get a custom tune using EcuFlash.

Shoot me a PM, I'm really fair with my flashes. I'd be more than happy to help out with the tune or even something as simple as removing the full cut.

Thanks for the recommendation Warrtalon!
