on the USDM EVO VIII they us a HB4 DS2 HID bulb, hehe...basically a 9006 bulb if it wasn't HID
another option is get the H11 HID bulb and use your stock ballast...and replace the stock headlights with a set of Polarg 9006 PURE YELLOW (just like the ones on the lexus) hehe..something im considering on doin to my evo
btw...i currently have a set of XD5 5800 55watt H11 fogs on my evo...i got it for like 20 bucks or something and wow, they're freakin bright as hell and they match my HIDz so nicely hehe i got pix of it if you wanna see AIM me

for example piaa xtra technology has less draw than most bulbs...
same with the raybrigs....
i suggest you find a bulb with less electrical draw...and also...
dont touch that fuse! lolz...replacing it with a larger fuse can be somewhat of a fire hazard!!!
there's a reason why the fure is rated at what it is....hehe
i dont have any problems with my fuses at all

but i have had different bulbs that caused me to have the same problems with my other cars o.O

maybe we should write to Polarg of japan since they're like the only ones doing pure yellow bulbs...they have most other applications...but last time i checked they did not produce an H11...
piaa does not produce a "pure" yellow H11...they only produce one H11 and its 4700 color temp...umm..its hecka dim and cost a grip...bah...dont get this lolz
XD5 krypton/xenon...WOW...
they last for ages and are super bright and super WHITE! and like
i'd get them for the high beams
ummm...try to stick with the 55 watt bulb...seriously...the plastic housing and/or the wiring harness will burn out or melt if you go with anything higher and your evo will be driven around looking like you gave it a black eye x.O
