just last night while i was waiting for my girlfriend in the evo i started to hear a rattle noise coming from the eng. bay... it almost sounds like it could be the lifters... at first i thought it might need oil but it was fine still have 800 miles till next oil change. used 10w 30 royal purple .. rarely push it .. basically only drive it from home to work and vise versa... should i take it in.... should i be worried??????

The lifters on the Evo are already loud. Did youjust put on your dp?
it could be rattleing..

 

its actually been a month since i installed my down pipe.... but ill check that just to make sure.... thanks man!!

not all downpipes are compatible with acd evo's... it might be banging against the trasfercase.. my friend wraped his downpipe with the heat wrap... not the best solution but it worked
