bad idea to mix tranny fluid?

i changed my tranny fluid about 2k ago with BG Synchroshift II, i checked it and it's a little low. i don't want to order another quart online and have to wait for it. i got a quart of Royal Purple Synchromax from pepboys to top off the tranny. is this a bad idea?

Yeah back in the DSM days we used to try anything we thought might work. But, then you can't harm something that is already broken.

I use OEM fluid so I recommend the oil Mitsu uses in the 6-speed. If you don't want to do that then second best would be to drop the BG and fill with Royal Purple.

I use 2 quarts of Redline MT90 and 1 quart of genuine GM Synchromech.
Never had a problem with that mix, 42K miles.

And Royal Purple Max Gear feels like shifting through frozen mud. Even worse when it's cold outside.
Best bet is buy 3 quarts of OEM and change out the fluid...or just wait till the new BG shows up at your door.

Hmmm...I am thinking of using this mix the next time around. But I want to do 1.5 qt MT90 to 1.5 qt Synchromesh. How is the shifting with this combo?

I'm sure many people swear by it...but as you said "Greg@GSC swears by it on his RACE cars". I used it in my tranny for daily driving and it sucks. I'm not saying it's bad oil, I'm not saying it doesn't protect, I'm saying that it provides crappy shifting feel.
