Tooth paste....preferably Aquafresh..

First of all, check your owners manual. Second, use the search function on this website, this topic has been covered more than enough. Third, you could always check Google.

For the record, OEM Diaqueen (not the gear diff fluid), BG Syncromesh, Royal Purple, and Redline have all been proven to be good transmission fluids.
(I feel the Syncromesh is too thin, others swear by it)

Lightbulb Tranny Fluid

It is best to search... however, i do not think i have ever seen a thread that conclusively details the best of the best when it comes to transmission fluid.

I dont think anyone has tried each one and then done a mechanical analysis of the tranny and chemical analysis of the fluid.

People will mention the following:

-GM/Pennzoil Synchromesh - good but doesnt last long (5k miles ~)
-BG Synchroshift II - fully synthetic
-Redline - not sure of the product name
-Royal Purple Synchromesh-
-Amsoil - not sure of the product name
-OEM Mitsubishi Fluid - i guess you cant go wrong with it except for not being as buttery smooth as the above fluids

Maybe TRE or Shep, could give us the best-of-the-best recommendation (smoothness and reliability), why, and info on the longevity of each fluid that they have had experience with. Perhaps, info on whether one is better for street or track or drag...

I tried searching too but didnt find the answer i was looking for

wut i have heard is that royal purple is suppose to be pretty good.

Lancershop does have exactly wut u need, but paying $41 shipping for those tranny and diff./tc fluids sound ridiculous.

Anybudy else prefer any other shop other than the stealership n i dont think the stealership sells tranny fluid, or does it?

Is royal purple synchromesh better than GM/Pennzoil synchromesh?

only use stock diaqueen for the TC and rear diff! if you don't track your car(road course/autocross)often, pennzoil/GM synchromesh will probrably hold up OK and you can get it at autozone for like $4 a quart. i always like to go for a GL-4 rated fluid though and synchromesh isn't.

i used synchomesh and its not that much better then stock but ive driven my cousins evo who had royal purple max gear 75w90 gear oil and it was very nice and smooth.....Royal purple also has synchomax but ive never tried it.....Also amsoil 75w90 gear oil did wonders in my other cousin's 240sx it made a more dramatic difference then the royal purple did soo i guess i would reccommend the amsoil 75w90 gear oil.

yes, in gallon jugs for around $40-$45. should be enough for around 6-7 changes of the TC and rear diff.
