Is a oil catch can necesarry on the evo 8? My friend says to get one, but he has an older turbo car. Do we need one for our cars?

 

oil catch can will help to catch any blow-by oil, i think its a good maintenance part.

 

If you are going to do it, better to do it now.
Eventually you will et some oil in the inlet of the turbo and hence the FMIC. Oil is bad in the FMIC cause it is air- to-air and oil inhibits its function. FYI... I recently put one on and did it a little different than normal. I posted it in the Evo tech forums.
