MAJOR help needed

After christmas.. installed my catback exhaust.. then put in a greddy type rs bov... reset the ecu after installing both.. drove the car and the bov fluttered and then when the clutch was pushed in the car would drop in rpms to like 100 ..and sometimes make the car died.. found out that the greddy flutters whether you want it to.. took the greddy out and put the stock POS back in... it also fluttered and drops in rpm but not as low as the greddy did.. maybe to 400.. most evo 8 owners upgrade there plastic pos bov to a evo 9 bov.. i did so.. came today.. installed the evo 9 bov.. on a side note.. i notice the vacumm line was a little short so i put a longer line on.. after resetting the ecu.. drove the car.. IT FLUTTERS.. and its also drops in rpm to 100-200.. what is the deal.. i tried searching but couldnt find anyone with the same problem as me...

Are you recirculating it? It almost sounds like issues when people run VTA.

Your vac line shouldnt have been to short? I would start there.

I read somewhere about people putting the MR BOV in backwards.

putting it in backwards? how is that possible..

i tried the mr bov with the original vac line.. it stil fluttered... so i made the change of making it longer to see if that was the problem.. still fluttered and kills the car

Are you getting any check lights? I think I read somewhere that a DV can flutter because it doesn't have enough vacuum to open correctly. Maybe you have a vacuum leak somewhere on the manifold.

How is the car running overall? I had the vacuum line at the left end of the manifold come off and it had the same issues your describing with the low rpm drops, but I pulled over and put the line back on, never boosted to know what the DV was doing.

It has been a while ago..........the car drove OK, kinda, but did have "flutter issues"if I can remember correctly. One way, is the nipple on the BOV pointing UP towards the hood, and the other way, the nipple is pointing to the left.

Read this:

Chase, I will be home late Fri, but the weekend, we can get together.
