Ok I want to change my tranny fluid and Center Diff/Transfer Case fluid. I want to do it myself, so I know how to do it, and not the Stealership....

What kind of OEM fluid is in the Tranny, how many quarts?
What kind of OEM fluid is in the Transfer Case, how many quarts?

The dealer tells me there is a different fluid in the Transfer case, its a darker colored fluid because there is a cooling additive in it. I have verified the color myself, and yes it is darker.

I want to change everything out in an attempt to make the decel noise less harsh, as others on this board have done. Thanks.

the tranny takes exactly 3 quarts. the drain is located on the lowest part of the tranny, its a big bolt (i beleive a 7/8 socket works). The fill hole is a gold looking bolt and its a 17mm. Its located in the front of the tranny (if you're standing in front of the car). As far as the transfer case, i would'nt touch the fluid there. its just no need to do it now.
