Is it possible to kill a clutch in 4 days
Went on vacation left my car with my friend thought it would be safer than to leave it it with airport parking.
Anyways its an exedy stage one clutch with 12K miles which I haven't launched since its been installed.
When my friend picked me up i let him drive out the airport and noticed he was riding my clutch.
Not sure how many miles he put on it.
Now its been 2 days later and has begun to slip.
So the question I'm asking is" is it possible to kill a clutch in 4 days of bad driving or was it just the clutches time?
Thanks

hmm, well everyone is going to have different speculations; but personally, i wouldn't expect any of that to cause that clutch to go out. I think it should still be going strong... My guess is that it is faulty, or that you're full of **** and you're a horrible driver the like other million people on here who are like "my stock clutch went out at 4k miles with no launches." I have 30k on my stocker with over 400 whp; no slippage here...
Really evaluate your personal driving style before going after Exedy for a new one.

I'm in agreement with him. If you have someone who doesn't really know how to drive a clutch it could be fried in 10 minutes. Good luck it happened to me and I made my friend pay for a new clutch.
it is totally possible.. your friend either beat the crap out your car and didnt tell you... or he really cant drive stick.. either way i think you should be thankful you got the car back in 1 piece..
I just can not imagine driving a car in such a way that you could toast a clutch in 10 minutes, or even an entire week; and think that you're doing it right. I mean you would have to be a complete moron.
That would require driving around with the clutch pedal engaged half way and doing low RPM WOT pulls on the freeway in 5th/6th gear, non-stop for hours at a time.
Like i said, i have 30k on my stocker with over 400 whp; and i constantly launch the car and drive pretty hard. I just don't see how there could be people out there that don't understand to the point of doing that...
Edit: I mean i've met/seen some ****ty drivers, but none that could pull that off.
