internal head and intake manifold sizes
well, the intake manifold is the same as a previous 4g63 on the eclipse/talon. in all the years they made the dsm's supposedly they made 2 different size heads and intake manifolds. it seems they used the smaller ones on the evo (i figuered they would have used the larger one). anyways, we checked the ports that connect to the head and it would be impossible to port the evos to the size of the larger 4g63 intake manifold produced in previous years. so, we have an idea to try and replace the intake manifold with the larger one, then port and polish the head to the sixe of the larger manifold. it seems like it should work, however, theres a draw back. the older intake manifold that is larger does not have the bar going through it that resembles variable valve timing. i dunno, it seems nice, but it might not work. anybody have any imput on this idea? the intake ports on the larger one are at least double the size. it should make some serious power.
