jun cams,valve springs and retainers

i think the car has jun cams valve springs and retainers..are there any disguishing marks , part numbers or anything where they say jun or anything that can tell me what they are on them...if so thatd be great...pics to would be awesome..thanks



ps-by the way i tried search on this..

do you have a stand-alone EMS? If not...they are most likely not JUN's. Also...my 264's have M041 engraved on the intake and M141 on the exhaust.

i dont have a stand alone...you have 264's for both i and e?.......do yours have a purple marking on them...if you look into the head from the oil cap...
also..where on the cam is going to say it..when i pull the valve cover off will it say it in a spot where i can see if if i crank the car a bit

Jun is green and yellow also with a machine turned middle section - they are distinctive

The code should be etched on the top end of each camshaft. JUN Japan website has more info.

thats odd....I dont recall any color to distinguish them with my cams.

no...they wont. Unless I am color blind. I have the 264's NIB hydraulic lifters. Obviously the solid 272's come with the paint to ident them.

It sounds like you bought the car used?


You should ask the person you bought it from; unless you bought it from a dealer.

They probably won't know anything.



BTW, a cammed Evo will sound very very different from a non-cammed Evo.

Also make sure you put your valve cover back properly.
