i have some real info on this... i have an evo ix and went to the track. at 8000 rpms i was bouncing off the rev limiter the last 50ish feeet only trapping 116.7
thats with a 255/40

so i can trap 124 im steping up to a taller tire. gaining a whole inch to a 255/45
i will be able to hit 124 mph

how much horsepower would actually be needed to get an evo viii 5-spd to 180 at 7800 rpms?

are the evo ix mr 6 speed gearing the same as the evo 8 mr or are they different. If they are can someone post the IX MR gearing.

well after a lot of calculating i got 351 hp in order to reach 180 mph. tell me if i'm crazy, the numbers i used:

cd = .36
frontal area = 23.38 square feet
