I have this setup and it isn't lumpy at all. You can barely tell I have cams.

I guess it all depends on how well you can tune for cams.

Well, I tune my own car and they are pretty smooth. If AMS tuned your car and you don't have ECUFlash and a cable, then you don't really know what they did, if anything to tune them for idle, right?

Did you ask for a smoother idle or a lumpy one? Do you know if they bumped the idle RPM a bit, or timing, or anything? Just saying that AMS tuned your car doesn't mean much. Most tuning is done for WOT and since the cams can idle fine without any changes, maybe they did nothing to try to get a smoother idle.

All I am saying is that the 272/264 setup if pretty mild, in terms of idle, especially if they are tuned for a smooth idle.

You have a valid point. I think the spent most of the time getting my older dynoflash off.
I didn't ask them to smooth out my idle and I'm not sure what they did but something was done to the idle. My boost gauge registers less vacuum at idle now. It sounds lumpy but the tach doesn't really move at all.
Regardless, I prefer the sound since the car is my weekend toy.
