Exclamation Customized Bolt-On GT35R Turbo

Hey all...

I know that there has been a bolt-on GT35R turbo available for years from PTE. This is only for the DSM's though:

http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=2271&

I was contemplating somehow customizing the turbo so that it would bolt-on directly to our Evo VIII's and IX's. It would be a great solution for people looking for a large bolt-on without having to spend thousands more for the whole kit. It's not fun changing out aftermarket pieces that you have already purchased for different aftermarket pieces...

Would this even be possible? What would have to be done? If not, why not?

Thank you!

look up ATP they have made a exaust housing to do this for years

the stock turbo spins in reverse from normal turbo so the stock manifold is very close to the radiator and with 857 posts you should know this. A funky exhaust housing has to be made to compensate for that, and you have the ATP kit. Some like it some hate it. I believe it would have to hinder top end flow and spool.

No no no lol

The turbo comes precasted to fit the stock manifold. Im talking about welding pieces to make everything else fit: downpipe, wastegate, etc.

Do you think it can hit 500whp on race or meth?
