EVO IX Cosworth Cam install info / FYI
Last night i installed a set of cams in a evo 9 for a friend & noticed that the exhaust cam trigger didnt fit properly within the slots of the cam.
I ended up modifying the trigger to fit correctly.
I am not certain if this problem was only on this particular exh cam or is a issue with all cosworth evo 9 exhaust cams.
maybe this issue has already been noted in another thread, but i figured i would jst make people aware.
I will give cosi a call today & ask.
This is more of a bit of a heads-up for people when installing these cams.

I heard something about a batch of Cosi's with the notch in the exhaust cam 1mm off. That might be what your talking about. Give them a call, Im sure they will send you a new one. Also I would call the shop you snagged them from, they might need to check theirs and make sure the ones they have in stock are all ok.

caused a big stir the first time issue arose. guy ended up having to pay twice for install because he thought the right thing to do was send them back to cosworth. your post was much more realistic on the inconvenience. congradulations for being an efficient mechanic.
