Front motor mount + side motor mounts = less vibration?

I have a Powerflex front motor mount and have minor dash vibrations at idle, nothing to really complain about. But I have been wanting to do the side motor mounts and heard this actually cancels out the front motor mount vibrations, anyone have some first hand experience?

+1....the tighter you hold the engine, the more vibrations go into the chassis of the car and make stuff rattle.

While one would think this would be the case, every single person that has done the front and the two side monts to their car has noted less vibrations than the front alone.

Adding the rear then increases the vibrations again.

I would think easier...both have easy access on either side of the engine bay. One under the battery and one next to the cam gear cover...

When I installed the two side mounts after living with just the front for a while I got more vibes for sure. Its really only slightly annoying at idle though, not when revs increase.

I just did another set of side mounts today on a car that already had the front......

..... sure enough.....

.... less vibration.

I completely agree that one would think that further stiffening of the motor would result in more vibrations. I completely expected this as the result the first time I did the install before we even made these things available to the public, but to my surprise, every single install we've seen done results in less vibrations than the front mount alone.

Maybe it's something unique to this application, I really don't know, but that's been the result every time and we've done more than a few installs of these things.

Are you guys using Agency power mounts? I was looking at them. And should I changed all of them? I was looking at my tranny mounts also, but I'll wait until my clutch slips and then I will do it all. I'm just looking to improve shifting right now, it seems that engine mounts do help remove the notchy feeling that I get sometimes.
