Power Loss???

I recently installed the DCSPORTS Turbo-back pipe which includes the cat-delete. I already had a GREDDY EVO2 Cat-back, and K&N Drop in filter. SO now I have a 3in turbo back, and drop in. However after I installed the turbo back pipe and delete, I noticed Alot more low end power and less power in 4th and 5th. It seems like its spooling slower top end. whats the prob? Low end its much faster. Do I need a Tune or flash. Will that fix the prob?

Also If I do go w/ a flash would the dealer be able to tell, if I needed warranty work?

Can't help you on your butt dyno other than to say you should be using a dyno or drag strip to see gains (or losses), not your butt dyno.

The least likely thing for a dealer to find is a flash. They will 100% find your removed cat, which is not allowed. A flash is way more important than the exhaust, so get that done.

yeah If I ever need warranty work Im just going to throw my stock down-pipe and cat-delete back in.

I could just be getting used to the car and the gains could have been greater low end making it seem slower top in? But I def think it spools slower in 4th and 5th now, thats just me.

Well, it takes 30 seconds to flash yourself back to stock if you use EcuFlash, which is much easier than replacing the exhaust parts. I can't imagine that you would spool more slowly in 4th and 5th, the gears with the highest load, after adding a test pipe and downpipe that reduces backpressure. That's the opposite of what should happen.

To flash back and forth is pricey.

No, it's not.. Buy yourself a $95 tactrix cable, get the stock rom off of your car and save it for later use and backup. Install the new flash using your cable and if the need ever arises, hook up the tactrix cable load your stock flash and done. Then after your done at the dealership or whatever you can put the "tuned" rom back in..

As already said by Warrtalon, a tune is definitely going to net you the most gains.. Go for it

Not directly - just get an MBC. An MBC + flash costs less than your exhaust and makes more power.

Au contraire! It's a great question that could be potentially result in a dumb answer.

Never liked the DC sport 2 in 1 downpipe just for the reason of having to put the stock cat back on for emissions. PA does emissions every year, right? Putting the cat back on is easier than putting downpipe and cat back on.
