Talked with couple vendors they say NO only BUY NEW one...Want to make sure this is accurate.....SUBTANTIAL DIFFERENCE from NEW to UPGRADED in cost????????

You need to look at the ring and pinion and see if the teeth exhibit an usual wear Pattern
most of the transfer cases which make noise do so as the ring and pinion have a mis - matched engagement which results in un even wear and makes the noise worse and worse
if the ring and pinion are no abnormally worn - the case can be re-shimmed and corrected

ONLY Mitsu DIA QUEEN oil should be used
