WOW I just don't know were to start.
Daniel is the most amazing dude I have ever talked to
.
I pulled out my trans on Monday morning thinking it would not take very long. It was ready to drop out in about 45 mins but the TOB fought me for 4 hours
Last time I did my clutch it took 10 mins and it popped, but not this time
. So the TOB finally pops out and the spring thingys that the TOB snap into pull out of the pressure plate
So now I need a clutch.
Anyway I got it dropped off to Daniel on monday and he called at about 8am this morning. He says he will call me back in a few hours.
He gets it apart and calls me again with a damage report, 4th is missing some teeth and 5th syncro is Fu*ked
. Funny thing here is that I never had a 4th gear problem, only 5th. Oh well I told him just do whatever he would to make it right.
So.... we desided to change 4th to VIII gearing, and keep everything else the same.
He was shocked that the trans was so fu*ked up and still looking almost new (6k)
I told him the car see's the local track every weekend in the middle of the night
. He then asks what clutch I am using and says that it not helping the trans condition out, with my driving.
So we were talking about me running the HTA 35R, (HURRY UP DAVE) and he is recommending I run a triple clutch with my driving habits
This clutch is so expensive, what am I going to do, that was HTA money
.
I will keep everyone updated when I get the trans back in the car
One more thing... If you Evom'ers go anywere other than Buschurs for parts, or service... YOU ARE STUPID... bottom line.
Everytime I deal with these guys I am blowen away, thats why everything on my car is BR

Glad to hear Daniel is taking care of you. He's always enjoyed building transmissions, not sure why but he really digs it.
You'll be happy when you get it back in the car.
Thanks for the post.

Dan installed my motor and trans in my Evo 8 race car in about 3 hours - not only was the job done fast - it was perfect
He is prob the best 4G63 mechanic in the world
And - a great person as well - interesting side story - he has this amazing dog - its a giant doberman pinscher who thinks he is a lap dog (cant wait to visit that dog again one day - he is cool)
Its too bad he is in the middle of the country side - but its worth a trip to have your evo serviced by one of the best - of not the best and at a very fair price

I said it once and I'll say it again "BUSCHUR RACING IS A ONE STOP SHOP!" I live all the way down in Orlando, Florida, but that's not stopping me from taking my evo to them! Heck, if they were in Orlando I'd be outside sleeping on the floor waiting to see one of David new R&D test... I'd be telling him to use my car, as long as I could watch!
One of the greatest customer services I have ever dealt with!

Ditto.. His craftmanship is awsome and one of the best I've seen. You cant even tell he removed the motor when he does the swaps. Ive had shops work on my cars before and after i leave i always had to fix something myself. Whether is was an IC pipe blowing off, a Radiator Hose popping off, or even having crossed boost lines. My drive home from Ohio to NY was flawless. The only problem the car had had nothing to do with Dan's work. And hes always willing to answer any questions.
And the fact that he keeps the service bays cleaner than most hospitals is beyond me. When i drove my car out there and flew back to pick it up I was amazed at Buschurs Shop. Its nothing like any of the shops we have on the east coast. Dave, Dan and the rest of the guys really know what there doing. I'll be sending them my tranny when it needs to be done.
Thank to all of you. We keep trying to improve. I'd hope that after 18years of working on 4G63's that we have it pretty much figured out
Hard to believe I'm that old..........1989-2007. Damn near half my lifetime.

I hope he is, reason I say this is cause I have NEVER had anyone work on anything I own
I desided to take it to Dan cause I see the work he does every year at the track not just with there cars at the shop, but with other peoples cars aswell.
Also my other reason was my dealer is sh*tty and did not trust them when it came to ordering the right parts
It's cool though I am keeping the faith, and have much trust in the team at BR
