IX Engine idle noise (belt?) (video)

Anyone else got this noise?
Sounds like noise came from the belts
(or at least coming from that side of the engine).

Car/engine is stock... noise started around a week ago.
Only thing I think can of is that overfill the engine oil a little bit.

Edit from llDemonll:
Additional video with the noise in better quality

How is it really bad? Other than the fact that manual says not to do that?

you create to much crank pressure theres only so much oil it can hold till it has to be pushed out of somewhere

you'll get degraded performance and as stated above, too much pressure built up in the motor. eventuallly the oil will find somewhere to go.

That sounds like your timing belt or pulley (or crankshaft).

It's definitely something turning with the crankshaft.

The reason for not overfilling the crankcase (above the top mark on the dipstick) is to keep the crankshaft out of the oil in the pan. First, pounding the crankshaft into the oil absorbs horsepower. Second, the oil thrown around by this can lead to oil foaming and ingestion of air by the oil pump. Finally, the atmosphere in the crankcase can become mostly made up of tiny oil droplets that when impacted by the crankshaft add further drag to the crankshaft.

The sound I hear sounds like either some loose metal or a bad bearing.

same sound as my car, though mine seems more intermittent. I'm finding more and more to ignore minor sounds with this car...hey, it's a mitsubishi, right?

I listened more closely today.. really sounds from one of the pulleys or belt...
How involved is it to remove/replace those?

Thanks,
