you should be fine depending on how you drove the 1000 miles; any launching or racing? I drove like a little ***** with wrong oil for 2,000 miles and i'm still fine. I currently have 35K on the odometer with driving the 2K between 15K and 17K.

Every gear, even neutral. The whining will get louder as you accelerate, and quiter as you decelerate. But yeah, sounds like its time for a new clutch.

sorry for the OT question.... But there is a little whining noise in all my gears, but it goes away in neutral and doesn't get louder when I accelerate. Is this normal, and is there anything I could do to prevent it? thanks.
