Lightbulb setting the HKS EVC V

Hey all!

I just had my HKS EVC V installed and while setting it I noticed some things that i thought maybe someone here could help me clear up.

First, some numbers for you: I am at just about 5500 alt, and the best gas i can get (and use) is 91 octane.

What is happening is when i set the BC so that i get about 131 Kpa (~19 PSI) I get a sort of blow off at around 6000rpms, and if i set it down to around 115 Kpa this isnt really happening (its seems to do it just at redline at 115 Kpa). It doesnt happen when i turn the unit off.

I see 122 Kpa at a setting of 66, and if i set it at 76 i get 131 Kpa, but anything over 100 Kpa seems to give me this blow off. The higher i set the BC the sooner i get the action.

Now, i am not sure if i am actually getting a blow off, but it feels like the wastegate is opening and the car loses power. It might be pulling timing or something, but i hear a blowoff type noise, like it is letting pressure out.

Thanks in advance,
Steven K.

Edit: If anyone knows where to get an english manual for the HKS EVC V please PM me.
