I was gonna head to moroso tomorrow for test and tune to break my time since I have been working on my power shifting but I might have to make a trip to orlando just to race this one evo. Also I am pretty sure I can beat my time at that track compared to ****ty moroso.
Keep in mind that my 11.9 run was on a tune that had about 10hp less and it was my third time at the track with my car. Also may I add that now I also have 371wtq. Where is your tq at? I dont care how ****ty the track is. I will just keep getting better and my car will keep getting faster.

Your torque is from your cams. The ones that I don't have. I am saving up for JUN cams and that will easily put me in the 380's. I am also doing my own head porting while I am in there. I will only get faster. Also my tuner has put countless hours into my car to perfect it. Something you are always going to lack.

Bull****, However long it takes to do it right will determine the amount of time he will spend on the car. Alot of the customers that go to the dyno days already have a nearly perfected custom street tune, so they may only need minor adjustments. I'd prefer to have an expert take an hour over a few days worth of trial and error.

Scott is no expert. I have been tuned by both. I am pretty content with what I have now. And yes a car can always be touched up. Tuners are constantly messing with their own cars all the time to perfect them. get off Scotts dick and don't come in here defending him because you are his fanboy.

Said the non biased fanboy that took the first cheap shot to defend his own tuner. I was just correcting a false statement you had made. If he took ten minutes to tune it would surely be a base/mailin flash, not a custom tune.

Keep it clean people. This is a volatile subject and can quickly turn into a mess. Don't let it happen

I vote none of the above. If you cant tune with a wideband, or take it to someone with one, you shouldnt be tuning. AFR is the most important factor on having a safe tune, and lets face it, nobody can guess by your logs what your afr is. If you have a wideband hooked up and can log with it, then that would be the only safe way to use a mail in flash with a tuner that will tweak your map based on those logs.

I paid a LOT of money for a WORKS tune. It worked great, dont get me wrong. But it just left a lot of power on the table. Once I bought a wideband and started tuning myself, I noticed how rich it was and how low the timing was set. I dont fault them, Im sure if I had taken it to them personally it would have been a much better custom tune. But the fact is any tune done through the mail is total guesswork. What worked for someone elses car might not run the same in yours. Ive tuned cars with identical mods and 100oct and one car liked 3 degrees more timing across the board as well as less fuel. It was just a stronger car. How could you tell that through the mail?

Deleted the last several posts. As i just said, we are on a volatile subject and will not allow this to turn into a pissing match, flame fest, or unfounded bashing. If you intend to make a negative comment about one of these tuners, be very careful as we have negative review rules in place. There is way to much secret agenda pushing and politics involved with this topic to allow these types of random comments to stay. So get on track and be productive and constructive or you are going to kill the thread.

Addtionally, this poll leaves out many of the good options including several other vendors here

hence why we should make another poll to include all of the Tuners on Evom.

this will clear up any confusion.

So who wants to start it? And also leaving the "other" as a choice as well, and it would be most helpful if it had custom tunes as apposed to e-flashes…. Not sure if you can make polls where people can change their votes in case they change tuners….

once a new poll is made this poll would become useless. to finally put to rest all these childish games. im sure every tuner on this board would like to be represented in a proper and fair way. this will prove who the better tuner is.

new poll should be titled best ECU reflasher... Email flash, base tune, or custom tune.

No, good idea and bad idea. I don't think "best" should be in the title. Maybe "Who tuned your car and what was your experiance?". Best is an opinion unless you have all of them get together on the same day with the same dyno. That is the only way, even then people would throw out different variables that would take away from the "test". And we all know that would never happen anyways.

I don't even think a new thread would be a good idea in general, yes the poll could sway another way dramatically, but it would still be a bickering match between those that swing. The only way a new thread would work is if it had rules and direct attention from a mod to delete off topic and pointless threads. Not sure if any want to devote their time to that.

i see you point. but the fact still remains that not every tuner on evom was offered a position in this poll. By starting a new poll that included everyone this would be a completely different ball game. Certain vendors have claimed to be the best based on this poll. How can you claim to be the best if you're not playing fair. i'm sure if the mods go back and review the IP addresses of voters in this poll, they would see a pattern.

and what about those people who have switched tuners? i was tuned by TTP at one point but i am now tuned by Jestr. why should TTP still have my vote?
