Clutch burnt out

Hi Guys

I own an Evo VII FQ300 with 305bhp the car has only done 6000miles and the clutch has just gone.
I know I drive it fast but I know how to use the clutch and I don’t ride it.
Now the dealer tells me that I will have to pay to replace it because its not it’s not under warranty.
I have only had the car 10 days and have only done 600 miles.

I’m sure the clutch should last at lease 30K miles. How many clutches do everyone else burn out?

If im to fit a better clutch while the gearbox is out what one should I get and what will it be like to use on normal road conditions?

Cheers

Andy UK

6000 miles in 10 days? Wow! And with the cost of petrol over there...

In either case, your clutch probably shouldn't have gone that early. Unless it was adjusted wrong from the factory somehow and was never completely engaging in the first place.

Tell me about it.
The guy who had it before me must have mis-used it. I had been driving it hard for a week and bit and the clutch was ok and felt ok. Then it begain to sleep.
Im waitting for Mitsubishi to call me and give me good or bad news if i will have to foot the full repair cost. I hope not.

Oh, I get it now. The Car has 6000 miles on it. You bought it used and have put on 600 miles in 10 days. I mis-read the post originally and thought you had an VIII FQ300, not a VII FQ300. It makes more sense now. Yes, the car was probably abused before you bought it, in which case you're probably out of luck and will have to foot the repair bill.
