Question Having problems after ATS Twin CF Cutch install

I recently installed an ATS twin CF Clutch with SS line. I am having problems letting out the clutch and moving out. The travel of the clutch is at the bottom about an inch from the floor and 2 inches of travel after that.

Just to let you know I went from a push to a pull style clutch with the kit that was provided by ATS. I bled the clutch correctly, but am only an inch off the floor when disengaging and about 2 inches of travel and almost 3 inches at the top.

I know I need to do a clutch pedal adjustment and adjust the pull style kit at the clutch cylinder as well, but my question is:

Is it normal to have the clutch engage so quickly... I've driven Porsche 935 conversion race cars, Testarossa's, and a few other super cars during my tenure as a valet driver at prestigeous clubs and such and never remember the travel being so small and engage so quickly.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.. thanks.

thanks for the input all.. An update.. I have adjusted the pedal and master cylinder and the pedal has moved up some, but still same engagement distance.. I have also noticed that I am having a very hard time shifting into first and second.. all others are great, but them first two are hell.. I swapped out the shifter to a Kartboy, but it was working fine before I installed the new clutch, so opening up the console and looking to see if anything is binding. I already checked the underhood bushings (new kartboy's as well) and they look good with complete motion.

Any info would be great.. thank all.

I don't get what your saying.. If you are talking about break in period, well that's no problem. I take great care in my car. I don't have money coming out of my ears, so these parts are solely sponsored by me.. no one else..

Again, elaborate on what you are trying to say..

Hard shifting into 1st and 2nd is dead indication your clutch is not disengaging correctly. You are going to need a tranny rebuild if you dont get it corrected. Your syncros are going through hell driving the car that way.

cluth pedal at rest = position 10
clutch pedal full depressed = position 1
engagement point for most clutches is at position 5-7
earlier engagement points 2-4 mean the pressure plate is not disengaging enough when you depress the pedal.
